This home has several accordion folding doors throughout the home including the front door. This is a unique operating system that allows the doors to fold smoothly to one side, stylishly and effortlessly. You may open a single door, or the entire wall.
You must read these instructions in this section completely before trying to operate these doors. The front door works in a similar fashion but has only two panels.
When operating the folding system similar to any other door, please do not place your fingers between the panels/pivot points. You may hurt them!
Do not have anyone not properly trained on operation and children operate the unit.
Do not force the system if not operating properly.
To prevent uncontrolled movement, especially in windy conditions, that might cause damage and injury it is recommended to keep them closed or opened completely.
The correct sequence of opening and closing of panels is important. Panels must be opened and closed in the right order. See below.
Gently rotate the handles up to open. Do not pull out on the handles. The handles move in a defined rotating motion only. Do not force the doors.
After closing the doors “lock” the doors with the handles in the reverse order. Again do not place your fingers between panels and pivot points.
Gently rotate the handle down to lock the doors. Do not force the handles down. If the handle does not rotate all the way down then that means the door is still in a folded position either inward or outward. The handle should easily go all the way down vertically and you will feel a slight locking motion of the handle.
Lastly the front door and several others have an actual small knob on the inside to lock the door. To lock turn the knob clockwise gently about two 360 rotations and you will feel a click. To unlock turn the knob counter clockwise about two rotations and you will feel that same click.
