Take a photo of the feedback form and email it to [email protected] or [email protected] and leave original copy in the housekeeping room in the basement.
Sanitation is important.Make sure you are washing all surfaces that people touch – toilet seats, faucets, kitchen and bathroom counters, etc. – with a product that is antibacterial.
Another sanitation issue – keep a schedule and wash mattress pads and duvet covers every 3rd or 4th use and whenever you see a stain (renters will be taking sheets off so they will see it at that point.For comforters that need dry-cleaning
Check for stains on bed covers and wash if needed. If unable to do, let Linda or James Rieger know so they can have a laundry service do it as soon as possible.
Check kitchen cabinets and refrigerator and dispose of all food that has been left unless it is unopened condiments.

Check all drawers, electrical outlets and washer/dryer for anything that renter may have left.
Remove the lint from the dryer. Every month remove lint from outside vent opening in courtyard area
Rinse clean the upper and lower dishwasher drain filler with water.
Clean doorknobs and woodwork around doors periodically.
Clean light switches and nearby wall if needed.
Dust and clean blinds as needed.
After cleaning metal surfaces (faucets, sinks) wipe them down with dry towel so water spots don’t appear.
Check lights and lamps for burnt out lights and replace if you can.If a light is out that you cannot reach, let us know and we will get it replaced.
Check for cobwebs and spiders/ants/insects and remove if found.
Clean grill – grill bars, outside of grill and area underneath.
Start my doing a burn-off or heat clean your grill, turn the burners to highest position and run for 15 minutes with the lid closed. Never leave unattended during this time. Then turn off the burners and gas valve and use a wire brush to clean excess food residue from the grates. Next wait for the grill to cool to clean the grill as noted below. Perform other tasks during this time.
Next Use liquid dish soap, warm water, nylon cleaning pad, wire brush to clean
DO NOT use cleaners that contain acid, mineral spirits or any abrasive substance.
The porcelain grates have an enamel finish (similar to glass) and should be handled with care not to chip.
OUTSIDE SURFACES - It is recommended to use only mild dish soap and hot water to clean grill and grill parts.Rinse with warm water.
INSIDE BOTTOM PAN OF GRILL BODY - To avoid flare-ups, the bottom pan of the cooking box should be kept clean on a regular basis. Remove residue using a brush, scraper and/or cleaning pad. Wash with mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse with warm water. Avoid water splashing into venturi tubes of burners.
HEAT TENTS - Clean residue with wire brush and wash with mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse with warm water.
GREASE CUP - Empty the grease cup and clean with mild dish soap and warm water on a regular basis.
COVER - Place the cover back on the grill
CAUTION – make sure that the grill was rinsed with water after using the wire brush to prevent metal wire being left and causing injury by getting into food on next use.
If obvious spots on area rugs (spilled drinks, food stains) attempt to clean them with the carpet cleaner provided in the basement. Call if unable to clean or serious damage.
replenish renter cleaning supplies (carpet and upholstery cleaner, window cleaner, general purpose cleaner).
Place new kitchen sponge if current one is dirty or soiled.
Restock coffee filters, baggies, plastic wrap, aluminum foil as needed. (Let Linda know if getting low so I can get more)
Check the following and replace/refill if empty or near empty:
Small laundry soap container (refill from larger container)
Dish soap
Dishwasher soap
Liquid hand soap (can refill from larger containers)
Trash bags
Stock the following:
Toilet paper – 1 on holder and 2 extra per bathroom
Paper towels – 1 (near full) on holder and 1 extra
Facial tissues – one box per bedroom (if almost empty, replace)
Bath soap – 1 bar per shower area and one at tubs.
Liquid hand soap – one at each bathroom sink and at kitchen sink.
Depending on number in group, provide 1 towel and one washcloth per person plus one extra in each bathroom.
Put 2 hand towels in master bath and 3 in other bathrooms.
Close and lock all doors and windows.IN LIVING ROOM, CLOSE CURTAINS TO AVOID FADING OF FURNITURE WITH THE SHINING LIGHT. OPEN AND CLOSE CURTAINS WITH THE ATTACHED POLES ONLY. AS YOU ARE CLOSING CURTAINS PLEASE LOOK AT THE CURVED GLASS WINDOWS FOR ANY SIGNS OF DAMAGE.
Check that stove and oven are turned off.
Check that all TV remotes are in place.Turn TV on to make sure previous guest has not changed the configuration.If there are problems, follow instructions in Home Binder to reset it.Call if you still can’t get them to work.
Check that fireplaces are off.
Check that the oven and stove burners are off
Check that the kitchen steamer is off
Check that the outside grill knobs and gas shut off valve are both off
Was the grill rinsed with water to wash off any metal wire fragment
Unplug the portable coffee maker on the counter please.
Check that all inside lights and backyard lights are turned off.
Check that stereo is turned off.
Turn central heat thermostat to off.
Leave new Guest Feedback Form and insurance form out. (see copy of form below)
Make sure Check-Out List is posted on refrigerator.
Do final walk through to make sure everything looks good and is in place and no cleaning items have been left out.
